On a Roll

Olive rolled over for the first time on Saturday!  She has rolled from her back to her side before but this time she went from her tummy to her back.  She bumped her head when she rolled and started crying:(  I think she scared herself more than she hurt herself. She's only done it once, but when you put her on her tummy she leans to the side like she is getting ready to roll but then straightens back up.  It's really cute!

Daddies and Babies

This picture was taken before church last weekend.  Katherine and Landon had already left for church, I was making a cake, and Christopher and Mike were watching Carter and Olive...and World Cup soccer.

Happy Father's Day

Olive sported her I heart Daddy onesie on Father's Day.  We made him breakfast and Olive even signed the card she gave him!

Future Gamer

Olive went to her first Dungeons and Dragons session the other day!  Mike picked her up from day care and they went to the store to play at 6:00.  I got off work at 6:00 so I went there to pick her up.  When I got there she was sitting on the table in her carseat just as happy as she could be.  I told her not to pay attention!  I don't know that I could handle another gamer in the house:)

Pretty Flower

When I went to bed the other night, this was on my night stand.

I love you Mike!

Seriously?

My poor car got hit in the parking lot at work the other day.  Thankfully we weren't in it.

I'm not sure how the driver did it, but she went over the curb, through a tangle of bushes and right into my car!

What is in My Hair?!

I've got two funny spit up stories...both involving Mike!

Mike had Olive on his shoulders while we were geocaching. When we got back in the car I noticed that Olive had spit up all in his hair. I was laughing so hard. Mike didn't think it was very funny. I tried to take a picture but he got it out before I could take one.

One morning I brought Olive to Mike while he was still laying in the bed. He had her sitting on his stomach. When she spit up it made a perfect landing right in his belly button! Again, I was laughing so hard and Mike was totally grossed out.

Olive's First Day at Day Care

I went back to work this week and Olive had her first day at day care.  What a change.  I'm glad to be back at work but boy do I miss my cute baby!  Olive seems to really like it.  She loves her teacher Ms. Jean and she is all smiles in the morning when I drop her off. I think I handled it better than I thought I would.  I definitely cried.  Mike was really sweet.  He knew it had been a hard day so that night he brought home pizza, wine coolers, and flowers:)

Ready to go

To Great Grandma's We Go

We went on a road trip to see the Chiles Family.  We left on Friday morning to go to my parents house.  That afternoon we left to go to Richmond for my Uncle Eldridge's Art Opening.  Mike carried Olive in the Baby Bjorn and she had a great time.  From there we went to the Chiles' house in northern Virginia.  Olive got to meet everyone.

Geocaching

Mike, Olive and I recently went geocaching for the first time. It's like a treasure hunt. You get coordinates where someone has hidden their cache and use a gps to find it. We found both of the ones we were looking for. One was hiding under a bench in a park and the other was on a old road. The cache in the picture had a bracelet making kit in it. It was a lot of fun! Tip for new geocachers...wear bug spray!
